Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy

The Director of Marketing & Digital Strategy is an innovative marketing executive with expertise in digital marketing, market analysis, branding and revenue generation.  This visionary leader collaborates closely with RIMS leadership to develop, execute, and optimize omnichannel marketing campaigns that drive revenue and value.   With a proven track record in team leadership, the Director oversees a team of marketing and creative professionals to implement scalable strategies that yield measurable results. This position is remote with occasional travel to the New York Office, RIMS events and prospecting events.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the organizational marketing strategy to achieve business objectives for the RIMS brand and product lines.
  • Ensure brand and creative strategies align with RIMS overarching mission and vision.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, establishing outcome measurements and monitoring impact.
  • Lead market research and analysis, collaborating with business leaders on product development, execution, and metric tracking. Direct the marketing team in creating and executing timely multi- media digital marketing strategies, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising to drive engagement, membership, event registration, and conversion rates.
  • Implement and report on results of multimedia marketing tactics to increase event attendance.
  • Develop and evaluate product-specific marketing automation campaigns to enhance member experiences and engagement.
  • Manage social media presence across all digital channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize user experience on RIMS.org webpages and the RIMS Mobile App. 
  • Provide consistent support and collaboration to develop staff, establishing and monitoring performance and development goals. 
  • Manage promotional material schedules and review for effectiveness and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in managing budgets and identify revenue and expense opportunities and risks.  
  • Responsible for $500k annual marketing budget.
  • Cultivate vendor relationships to advance RIMS marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for adoption where appropriate.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in association or client engagement, marketing leadership roles with a clear track record of measurable results in omnichannel marketing with an emphasis on digital campaigns, brand development, event marketing and product marketing.  
  • Proficiency in current marketing tools and strategies with the ability to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in audience targeting and devising engaging digital campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience managing and inspiring a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data and metrics, including web analytics and social media engagement. Ability to evaluate and extrapolate insights from platforms such as Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience leveraging marketing software systems, Sprout Social, Real Magnet, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot or similar automation platforms
  • Proficiency in analyzing customer insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Hands on experience with SEO, SEM, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and marketing automation platforms such as Sprout Social, HubSpot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience across all social media platforms.
  • Proficient with MS Suite, AMS databases, such as NetForum and spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with Sitefinity CMS a plus.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.   Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, project management and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Some travel and weekend/overtime work required, as well as travel for professional development opportunities.
